Ideally, buy the items closest to the phase you are in. If you have to start collecting them from scratch then it will take quite a bit of work to cap out your poetics 3 times.ĭo yourself a favor, and buy the items NOW, rather than later. However, in phase 3 of the anima relic quest, you will need 6,000 poetics to buy all the Unidentifiable items required. However, the objective here is to maximize your poetics and GCS power, since those are both currencies that are frequently obtained through a variety of content but are commonly “wasted” because of the relatively low cap limits.įor example, you can only hold 2,000 poetics at a given time. These are not the only items you will need, nor are they only obtainable by this method. Purchasing any of the above items, beforehand, will drastically reduce the overall time it takes to grind out your anima relic weapon. It would behoove you to purchase the following items as soon as possible. Both of which are currencies that have a relatively small cap. Many of the phases require items that can be purchased with Allagan Tomestones of Poetics and Grand Company Seals(GCS). Fortunately, you can actually get much of the grind out of the way, before you even get to a particular phase. However, it can still be rather “grindy” if you don’t stay ahead of the quest items. This used to be a longer process, but the drop rate is pretty decent these days.Obtaining the final anima relic weapon is much faster than it was a few years ago. You need to get a Gold rating from the FATE in order to have a chance to gain a Luminous Crystal.

Soul Without Life – The First Anima Relic WeaponĪrdashir in Azys Lla (X: 7.4, Y: 11.5) will offer you a quest called “Soul Without Life.” This is the first step toward your Anima Relic Weapon, and there are two different paths here. Much like Hyrstmill during the Zodiac Relic Weapon quests, this will become your main port of call for most of this process, so get used to teleporting to the nearby Aetheryte. Rowena will send you to Ardashir in Azys Lla. There is no version of this quest for Dancer, Gunbreaker, Sage, or Reaper, because those jobs do not have Anima Relic Weapons. In order to access this quest, you need to have completed the Heavensward main scenario quest “Heavensward” and leveled the requisite Job up to Level 60. “An Unexpected Proposal” is available from Rowena in Idyllshire (X: 5.7, Y: 5.5). This new adventure requires a quest in order to kick everything off. If you’re looking for another phase, you can head back to the primary guide for the Anima Relic Weapon questline.

None of these weapons are best-in-slot anymore, so you’re purely doing this for your own satisfaction. The journey has several phases, each offering a new version of the weapon, ending at the Lux form. This will be a lengthy process, with more steps than the Zodiac Weapons. This isn’t a cartoon, but things are getting animated! This guide will cover Animated Weapons, the Relic Weapons introduced in the Heavensward expansion of Final Fantasy XIV.
