I met the Leeds Hospital Charity team who I was running for and then we got to meet Kev Sinfield who briefed us before wheeling Rob to the start line. On Sunday morning from 7am, blue and orange took over the city and nervous athletes and people made their way to Headingley Stadium for the start line. We travelled to Leeds on Saturday afternoon and just seeing people walking around the city centre in MND tops filled me with emotion and pleasure – I knew I was helping the charity and spreading awareness which was my top priority as well as Rob Burrow, Kev Sinfield and the MNDA. The whole experience was absolutely awesome. “Firstly, and most importantly, thank you so, so, so much for all your support and best wishes, I am truly delighted with how much money we have raised but more importantly, is the raising awareness and I feel this has certainly been achieved with all the love and emotions people have shared. We are all so very proud of her and she walked in to a huge round of applause on Monday.
